Anyone age 12 or over can enjoy the rapids of the Ocoee on guided raft trips offered by outfitters. These guided trips are available weekends April-October and weekdays June-August.
Site of the 1996 Olympic Whitewater Slalom Races, there are 3 sections of the river open for fun with Class III and IV rapids. The Middle Section of the Ocoee is open for guided rafting trips over 100 days a year. The Upper Ocoee, which includes the Olympic Race Channel, is open over 50 days a year for guided trips. The Upper Ocoee is also home to the Ocoee River Championships held the third weekend in August.

Ocoee River Championships
World-class whitewater competition- including slalom racing, freestyle, downriver race, squirt boat competitions, raft racing and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) events. The competitions are held the third weekend of August.
