Polk County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a 2021 photo calendar contest, with what hopes to become an annual event. There is no entry fee to submit photos, with the only requirements being pictures must be taken inside Polk County, photographer must be an amateur, and no identifiable person(s) are in submitted photos. The 2021 calendar theme will be “For the Love of Polk County” and should depict the sites and scenes and locale that makes us love Polk County.
Deadline for entry is Monday, October 5, at 1:00 p.m. EST. Each photographer may submit up to 4 photos and must be accompanied by a completed entry form. Entry forms may be picked up at the Chamber office, 2009 US Hwy. 64, located across from Sugarloaf, or you may email the office and request a copy be sent via email – westoffice@ocoeecountry.com. The Chamber office is currently open on Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00-2:00, but it is suggested to call first and be sure staff is in the office and not out and about, (423) 338-5040.
Calendars will be sold via preorder through November 10 for $15 and should be available by mid November. Order requests can be called in to the Chamber office or requested via email. After November 10, calendars will be available but the cost will be $20 each. For anyone out of town, the Chamber will be happy to ship calendars to you for an additional shipping fee – $5.00 for 1 calendar, $7 for 2-3 calendars.
