Industrial Economic Development Board

Industrial Economic Development Board

The Polk County Industrial Economic Development Board is an organization of local citizens, elected officials, and community business leaders who are gathered for the purpose of promoting the overall business interests and future development of the local business environment.

The Industrial Economic Development Board functions to research business issues that exist in the local community and seeks to affect positive changes that make Polk County and the Ocoee Region a more suitable environment to conduct business. In addition, we work with private sector developers, as well as regional and state economic development teams, to keep our economy growing.

As a Three-Star Community, Polk County is making strides to preserve existing employment, create new job opportunities, and build a strong base for future economic development.

Polk County is home to two industrial parks with a combined total of 94 acres and all utilities available. The Copper Basin Industrial Park is located on HWY 64 in Ducktown and the Benton Industrial Park is located off HWY 411 in Benton.
